ASP is an ‘easy to apply’, non-coal tar product that rejuvenates, waterproofs and protects asphalt and concrete surfaces from frost attack and damage by petrol & diesel fuel. ASP is engineered from a special blend of pre-oxidized asphalt binders that are UV stable and rich in modified, moisture insensitive silicone-based compounds. This means that it stays black long after other products have turn old and grey. It has extremely low viscosity and surface tension that makes it easy to spread and deep penetrating. These features make it far superior to conventional cutback and emulsion products. ASP seals voids, stabilises the asphalt structure and eliminates water and moisture associated problems. ASP can be applied to dry or damp asphalt or concrete pavement and driveways.

ASP is applied using a brush, roller, squeegee or low pressure spray equipment. The dramatic before and after effect of applying it on asphalt pavement is illustrated above. ASP, which goes on at about 2.4 sq ms per litre, carries substantial benefits. Apart from being the ultimate protection system for asphalted surfaces, it stays black and resists staining and greying that otherwise quickly spoil the surface appearance. ASP is an ‘easy to apply’, non-coal tar product that rejuvenates, waterproofs and protects existing asphalted surfaces from frost attack. ASP has been tested according to both the British Pendulum Skid Test and the Horizontal - Pull Slipmeter Skid Test. In both cases the results for untreated and ASP treated asphalt where comparable. ASP is a single coat application which means that application work can be completed fast with minimum interruption to vehicular traffic. ASP samples are available on request from Epicuro Ltd.
